The Hickory Creek operated in service on the 20th Century Limited from 1948 to 1967.
The car was later acquired by the
United Railroad Historical Society of New Jersey in 1991.
The car is Amtrak certified, and made its' first revenue trip in June 2005, and made its' first apperance in Grand Central Terminal on October 25, 2008.
