Hickory Creek at the Bear Mountain Bridge
The Hickory Creek, built in 1948, once graced the rear of The 20th Century Limited and since 2005, has operated in Amtrak Service.
Ahead is NYC 43, a tavern lounge car built in 1947, which ran its first trip on Amtrak in January 2010.
The cars are seen here at Manitou, New York on the rear of Amtrak train 244 lead by engine 701 at 1748hrs on Saturday, June 1, heading southbound approaching the Bear Mountain Bridge.
As a passing storm makes its way through the region, the sun breaks through the clouds just as the train passes.
