Hickory Creek from Riverside Drive/W 134th St.

Hickory Creek from Riverside Drive/W 134th St.

The Hickory Creek rides along The Former New York Central West Side Line on Amtrak Empire Service Train 281.

On April 7, 1991 Amtrak trains began using the line to access Pennsylvania Station. Amtrak trains diverge from the Hudson Line at Spuyten Duyvil.

This view is from the elevated portion of Riverside Drive which is over 12th Avenue where many movies and shows like "Law & Order" film their scenes. Within view from right to left is The Henry Hudson Parkway, NYC Sanitation shed, Riverbank State Park (Which is atop The North River Wastewater Treatment Plant) and The George Washington Bridge.

I had to stick my head and two hands through the port hole of the fence to accomplish it. The only reason the hole is there is to access the light pole access panel.
