Canadian Pacific/Delaware & Hudson Train 417 is on the Metro-North Railroad Hudson Line through Spuyten Duyvil on a rare Saturday run north on Saturday, July 3, 2010 at 1846hrs.
417 is seen led by a rare 3 engine lash up with CP 5677, 5698, and 5672; and originated in Glendale, Queens at the NYA Fresh Pond Yard destined for Kenwood Yard in Albany.
6 months after this photo, Canadian Pacific discontinued operations to New York City, but they retain the right to resume service at any time.
The train was affectionately known as the "South Bronx eXpress", "The Red Engines", or just "D&H".
