New Jersey Transit at Pelham BayMetro-North Railroad operates a direct-service train with NJ Transit equipment stopping at select stations on the New Haven Line in Connecticut and Westchester to the Meadowlands via Secaucus Junction for games that kick-off at 1 p.m on Sundays.
On November 29, 2009, this was a winning train for JETS fans as the
JETS won 17-6 against the Carolina Panthers
at Giants Stadium
. The Metro-North operated train is on Amtrak's Hell Gate Line at Pelham Bay Bridge with NJ Transit equipment as Co-op City looks on. The Metro-North crew will be replaced with a NJ Transit crew at Penn Station.
NJ Transit Bi-Level equipment is no longer used, as well as the frequency of trains being cut from three to just one train in each direction.
