Like no other: Yanks Triple Play

It's Sunday, October 26, 2008, and Yankee Stadium had played its' final stadium game 5 weeks prior on September 21, 2008 vs. Baltimore with a 7-3 win.

Metro-North Railroad assisted Amtrak with detouring their trains into Grand Central Terminal due to trackwork taking place at CP12 in Riverdale where Amtrak trains normally connect to the former West Side Line to Penn Station.

Some trains originated at Grand Central, while others were turned on the wye (such as this one), at Mott Haven in The Bronx for service origination at Croton-Harmon.

Lake Shore Limited riders gained rare mileage; as the train ran via Hell Gate Bridge to New Rochelle, then took the New Haven Line to Woodlawn to join The Harlem Line to the wye at Mott Haven ("MO") for the Hudson Line.
