Otisville West Portal

Metro-North Train 75 is seen exiting the west portal of the Otisville Tunnel on a gorgeous Mother's Day 2014 with GP40FH-2 4904. Renumbered from 4188 after rebuild in 2008, it was originally built as a GP40 for the Rock Island as 372 in 1966. What better location to photograph an ex "Rock" unit blasting through Rock at the famed Otisville Tunnel which was built by the Erie in 1908, and is
5,314 feet long.
