In 2007, the Strates Carnival Train ran to the Orange County Fair for the very first time.
The flat cars were unloaded at Henry Henning Drive on the Maybrook, while the coaches were taken to the small NS yard in Port Jervis, New York.

Here, Norfolk Southern local H-08 is notching out for a run up the mountain to reassemble the Strates Train at Campbell Hall for movement to Croxton, NJ.

Not until 2012, after 5 years of taking a much longer route to Binghamton (Middletown-Croxton-Allentown-Binghamton) did the westward routing change to send the train west along the Delaware River on the Central New York Railroad/NYSW, which has resulted in a much more sensible approach to getting the train to Binghamton much faster.
