Ghost of the "Old Woman"

Ghost of the "Old Woman"

Norfolk Southern Campbell Hall based Local H-08 is heading from the ERIE Graham Line (Southern Tier/Metro-North Port Jervis Line) to the O&W Main (NS Crawford Industrial) at what is called Four Story Jct. on Tuesday, October 6, 2009. NS operations at Campbell Hall ended one year later, with daylight local H-08 moved to Suffern, and nocturnal H-09 abolished.

The abutments once proudly held the New York, Ontario & Western Railway mainline, until abandoned on March 29, 1957. The NYO&W was nicknamed "Old Woman".

An Orange County Department of Public Works truck crosses overhead on Maples Road in the Town Of Wallkill, adding some orange color to the scene.
