It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood....for a detour!
CSX Stack Train Q004-10 is seen detouring with a NYSW crew meeting westbound Metro-North train 43 at Howells due to trackwork on the CSX River Sub. CSX 3169 (east), 559 (west), NYSW 3808 (east) Stacks (39 "cars") and freight on the rear, make a great scene on the Southern Tier that is quite the rarity, especially in full spring bloom. Just imagine this same scene if it were possible in the Fall! Monday, May 12. 1020hrs.
