Memorial Weekend Bonus at Otisville
While preparing food for the big barbeque for Memorial Day, I sat down on a lazy Saturday afternoon, checked my phone, and said "Guys....we have a SU-99 reported through Chester! Let's move!".
Realizing that our planned location at Guymard wasn't going to provide the desired lighting that late in the day, we backtracked to Otisville, and decided to play it safe at Route 211 where the rays of the sun would hit until nearly last light.
This is a shot that I've done with passenger, but not with freight; so I was glad to check it off the list.
As the soon to be replaced signal at OV lit a clear green, we soon heard 4 SD60's roaring into Otisville at 18:39 with 3808, 3806, 3810, 3800 and a lengthy train.
The normally scheduled round trip over the next two days was annulled so that the crew could enjoy the holiday.
