The Carlton Bridge connecting Bath and Woolwich, Maine over The Kennebec River, built in 1927, carried automobile and rail traffic, until 2000, when the parallel Sagadahoc bridge opened to carry Route 1.

The westbound Maine Eastern passenger train is about to make its' Bath stop in another 150 feet. In light of this fact, multiple photos can be had at Bath, and a photographer can reposition himself with ease.
