Highball Kensico!

Highball Kensico!

At 10:00 am, on March 9, a southbound Metro-North Railroad train heads towards Grand Central Terminal, as the engineer gives a friendly wave.

The station here at Kensico Cemetery closed in 1983 with the electrification completed soon after in 1984 between North White Plains and Brewster North.

Revenue freight trains unfortunately no longer grace the rails here, but did at one time under Conrail, Penn Central, and New York Central.

Only CSX operates on The Harlem Line, and only as far north as Mount Vernon Yard, with rights to North White Plains that have never been utilized.
