HLCX 1017, former Union Pacific 1017, is a 2000 horsepower GP38 built in 1984, currently operated by US Rail Corp, and owned by Helms Corp (HLCX).

It was photographed at CSXT Croton West Yard on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, after being set off there by train L431-29 on Monday morning, May 30.

The engine is destined to Yaphank, New York, on Long Island.

Note: There is an enscribed "UP 2516" on a cab window as well. I am not sure if this was a prior UP number before 1017, or if the window was just pulled out from 2516.
